Hey writers! Just a reminder that our free “Final Fridays” writing workshop is tomorrow, starting at 12 Noon EST. We had so much fun last month and I’m excited to add some new writers to the crew this time!
What it’s all about:
In this workshop, we’ll do a short writing exercise and hear what’s top of mind with writing for you. The whole group will learn from your insights and questions about your practice, process, craft, and the writing life.
I’ll ask a few of you to share out loud a response you wrote to one of the You Are a Writer prompts I send each week. We discuss what stood out, what ideas were interesting, what did we hear, what made us think something new? What would we want to hear more about, or change in this to bring it more to life? I’ll point out specific craft elements or fascinating ideas I read in the pieces, too, to see what we can learn. There is so much to learn as we listen to each other read, ask, and share ideas.
We’re also taking the sound of writing really seriously in this ongoing workshop—learning to hear how your own work can be read, and learning to edit from sound more than vision, are just some of the fun things that we’re getting into.

You do not have to share your own writing if you don’t want to… but we’ll work up to it!
If you have a prompt response to share with the group, please sign up and then email a copy of your piece tonight to rachel@racheljepsen.com!
Your piece can be in response to one of the prompts from this month, or to any of the prompts from the You Are a Writer newsletter archive. Less than 1K words please.
Click the button for more info, the link, and to RSVP. If you sign up, you will get an email from me tonight : )
Excited to see you tomorrow! Happy writing.
