Whew! Thank goodness you decided to write about this and admit it. I've been writing on this topic for three years and it's way more than 6000 words. Am I nuts? Why am I so interested in the changing kaleidoscope of reading functions, purposes, and experiences? Probably, no one beyond me has this adventure and therefore, who cares what I have to say about reading? That's where I left it. That's why I never posted any of it. You may be on to something to create a newsletter just about reading, from the angles you present in your Substack articles. Leave in the train metaphor. I use that one a lot in my writing about reading.
